Must wear colors for Diwali

If we were to ask people what is the best part of a whole year of lockdown, we would get a unanimous answer of “festivals”. Being shut within the four walls of the house, unable to attend any gathering or occasion, festivals have been our only rescue. Also, Let's all agree that festivals are the means to our annual profile picture change. The thought of trying on a hundred new clothes and shopping the best of them for Chaturthi, Durga puja, and our most beloved Diwali! Exciting, isn’t it?

Diwali is called the queen of Indian festivals for a reason. While our favorite glam festival - the Navratri has a nine-day color-coded schedule, there's none as such for Diwali, leaving us in an ultimate conundrum as to "What shall I wear this Diwali? ". So here are a few away-from-usual colors we suggest that'd help you rock the festive season like an ultimate showstopper.

1. Chocolate Brown

With an Indian skin tone, we might have heard people saying multiple times that brown clothes with brown skin would make you look like a tree. Well, it’s time to leave those regressive thoughts in the past. A silky chocolate brown color saree paired with a lighter colored brown blouse, like caramel, toffee, or even golden, would be the best color to bring out the beautiful Indian complexion. Also, a plain-woven or embroidered brown suit would make people go “Tenu suit karda”. Have you checked out the Cotton Anarkali Suit from our Diwali collection?

2. Pink

No festival is ever complete without a dash of Pink. There is pink for all of us - rose, blush, salmon, coral, magenta, and hot pink. A bright coral saree with a sleeveless black blouse or a rose pink kurta set paired with dark bold lipstick and voilá; you make the absolute trad diva. Slay the Diwali look with our Rooh Afzaa Anarkali Set and Rooh Afzaa Loose Kurta Set with Straight Pants.

3. Ivory White

Who doesn't like to take a shift from the classics, right? So, if you wish to pull off a plush royal look this festive season, we recommend the in-vogue color Ivory White. Coming from a minty and shiny color palette, this color with heavy designs would give you a friendly, soothing, and calm tone to welcome the chilly winter to come.

4. Violet

Who can live in 2021 and not fall in love with the shades of Violet? The phrases 'minimally elegant’ and 'simple but elegant’ were handmade to define mainly four variants of Violet color - mauve, lavender, magenta, and jam. These colors are complexion-friendly and boost the beauty of any skin. By wearing these colors, you can embrace a graceful look. 5. Green

Who doesn't want to live the phrase "Yass queen"?! Talking about festivals and not including Green colors like light green, mint green, dark green, and forest green in silky or cotton textures is a mishap that you don't wanna do at a festival. Anarkali gowns, Sarees, Lehenga blouses, stylish kurtas, Mastani suits, organza dupattas, and Simple kurtas in these calming colors would best represent sartorial sober vibes. Have a look at the Pan Bahaar Anarkali Set and Pan Bahaar Strappy Kurta Set with Straight Pants.

Diwali has an incomparable vibe and an adrenaline rush. Standing in front of the camera with a hundred different poses, alone and with your loved ones, not only adds to your memory box but also a good Instagram grid! So these were our suggestions so that you could spend the Diwali "morni banke."
